In today's world, many people find it hard to trust others. It's not that people are less trustworthy than before. We just hear more about untrustworthy actions on the news and social media. These stories can make us feel like we can't rely on anyone.
Most people believe there's a lack of trust in society. Some disagree, but they're few in number.
In this world, gaining trust quickly is crucial. In the next post, we'll talk about good ways to build trust fast. One powerful method is to focus on understanding others' needs, not just promoting yourself.
A big part of building trust is asking others about themselves and really listening. In a good talk, about 90% is asking the other person questions. Have you ever been in a chat where you did most of the talking, but thought the other person was great at talking? That's because they showed real interest in you.
Stephen M.R. Covey wrote an important book called "The Speed of Trust." He says trust is very important. When there's trust, things happen faster and relationships are stronger. Without trust, everything slows down.
Covey also says trust is the base for influence. Influence means being able to motivate people. He explains that when there's trust, even if there are misunderstandings, people still believe in each other's good intentions.
In the end, people want to work with and buy from those they know, like, and trust.
In the next post, we'll look at questions you can ask to start good conversations and build trust. Stay tuned to learn how to make real connections in our complicated world.
